with Matt's Gallery in November 1991. Sculptor, poet and performance artist,
Catling is obsessed by the atmosphere of place. He articulates words,
objects and action to create a 'symbiotic' total. These are transient
works, which choose their habitat with great care and have included a
wide range of sites, many of which are evocatively described here. Illustrated
with colour and black and white photographs.
