Print information
The print Plant Bands and Systematic Sections, continues an exploration into the idea of the botanic garden. Based on a diagram of the garden at Gembloux in Belgium, each of its carefully calibrated tonal shifts represents a different family bed – or band. The title, translated directly from the French, refers to the systems of classification typical of a scientific garden and, with its suggestion of musical notation, is also a precise description of an abstract image.
