Brexit Bus

13 – 28 July 2019

Nine Elms

Arnaud Desjardin & Fraser Muggeridge are bringing back the infamous Brexit Bus as a publication three years after the 2016 referendum campaign. British citizens were asked: "Should the United Kingdom remain a member of the European Union or leave the European Union?" Three years on, the question remains unresolved.

Brexit Bus is a life-size recreation of the iconic bright red vehicle rolled out by the Vote Leave campaign, famously adorned with the statement: "We send the EU £350 million a week let's fund our NHS instead." For three weeks in July it will occupy one side of the shell space that will soon become Matt's Gallery at Nine Elms.

In 2022 Matt's Gallery will open in two ground floor units in Bellway's The Residence at Nine Elms. The space has been provided by Bellway through Wandsworth Council on a 25 year lease.

The Brexit Bus is printed in black and white on 434 individual sheets of A3 paper. When brought together it creates a 4-metre-high, 13-metre-long image of the bus.

Brexit Bus is a bus in a box published by The Everyday Press, London, 2019.

It is an edition of 100, priced at £125 each + £20 P&P (UK only, for international please contact the gallery directly). Order here.
