Something’s Got to Give is a new film work by the young German-born artist Xenia Dieroff.  Dieroff’s work mixes a skewed humour, a love of role-playing and a certain poignancy together to incisively dissect the gender and societal codes that dominate our interaction.

Her new work, which receives its premiere at Matt’s Gallery, exploits the inherent flexibility and limitations of film to wittily pit the artist against herself in an extravagant rendition of a familiar contest.

And it’s only a matter of time before everything falls apart...
