Artist talk at Rame Projects
Jordan Baseman ends his residency with Rame Projects with a talk this Saturday, as part of The DeathLand Reading Group.
Jordan Baseman will present some of the initial research behind the ACE funded project DeathLand, including archival images that led to the development of the project. He will discuss the inspiration for the work - an accidental occurrence that was the catalyst for this body of work.
Since that surprising encounter at the Ethnographic Museum in Krakow in February 2023, DeathLand has grown, mutated, and evolved, forming different shapes as the research moves away from the Polish Herody Traditions of its origins, to expand into contemporary themes including decomposition, time, and litter-picking.
Talk: 11am-1pm
This event will last approximately two hours and will be presented in two parts with a break in-between
