Matt's Gallery 2026 Programme
We are delighted to announce our 2026 Programme
Throughout the whole year we will be hosting Annie Whiles’ Doorway Guardians. This project, in partnership with KARST, Plymouth, will see Whiles’ woodcarvings simultaneously occupy entrance spaces, one at a time, at each gallery space.
The first will go on display alongside our first gallery exhibition of the year: Joe Moss’ first institutional solo exhibition, Automated Fantasy Procedure, which opens on 23 January.
In March, we present the premiere of Michelle Williams Gamaker’s new film Strange Evidence, scenes of which were shot at Matt’s Gallery this year as part of her acclaimed exhibition of the same name. We are delighted to announce that it will tour to The MAC in Belfast and OFFLINE, Glasgow in the spring, before going on to Chapter, Cardiff, later in the year.
Spring at Matt’s Gallery will see ZYX, a new sound installation by Anna Barham, opening in gallery. And then, in the autumn we will round off the year with a major new project by Imogen Stidworthy, co-commissioned with Chapter, Cardiff, who will present it in the spring.
