Material Actors at Hypha Studios
Michelle Williams Gamaker will be featured in an exhibition Material Actors, opening tonight at Hypha Studio's new space at No. 1 Poultry building, City of London.
Material Actors is a group show curated by Binder of Women. The show presents female identifying artists who operate at the overlap of reality and fantasy, playing with expectations and experience of material forms and re-appraising object performativity.
The exhibition brings together existing and newly created works in a range of media, including painting, installation, moving image and sculpture. Alongside Michelle Williams Gamaker, the show includes work from Alice Browne, Charlie Franklin, Lauren Godfrey, Oona Grimes, Pia Pack, Milly Peck and Laura White.
Opening: 24 September, 6-9pm
Exhibition continues: 25 September - 1 November
