20:50 at Saatchi Gallery
This is the iconic photo of Richard Wilson standing in 20:50, filled with used sump oil, at Matt’s Gallery, January 1987, prior to it entering the collection of Charles Saatchi the same year, and later acquired by MONA Tasmania in 2017. This photograph is taken by Edward Woodman.
20:50 will be shown again, for the first time presented on the Saatchi Gallery’s top floor for The Long Now: Saatchi Gallery at 40, a group show that celebrates four decades of ground-breaking art by artists closely associated with the Saatchi Gallery.
